The Department of Electrical Engineering at Stanford University (https://ee.stanford.edu) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty appointment at the junior level (Assistant or untenured Associate Professor). We invite applications from individuals working at the frontiers of electrical and computer engineering, broadly defined. An earned PhD, evidence of the ability to pursue a program of research, and a strong commitment to graduate and undergraduate teaching are required. A successful candidate will be expected to teach courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels and to build and lead a team of graduate students in PhD research. This base pay range is for a nine-month academic appointment and does not include summer salary. The Electrical Engineering Department seeks a Graduate Admissions Specialist & Student Life Coordinator to provide a wide range of administrative support for the Student Services Office and is a key member of the 6-person Student Services team. Reporting to the EE Director of Student and Academic Services, the Graduate Admissions Specialist & Student Life Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for prospective applicants to the Electrical Engineering graduate programs. This role will assist and work closely with the Graduate Admissions Officer during our department’s admissions process, which includes reviewing applications for graduate and non-degree option students. Other duties include coordinating the PhD rotation program and managing the purchase card verifications and reimbursements for the student services team. As the Student Life Coordinator, this position coordinates the EE Student Orientation for incoming graduate students, EE Admit Weekend for prospective EE PhD students, and other student life activities (pumpkin carving contest, the gingerbread house contest, etc.) throughout the year to foster community building within the department. This role will be the main administrative support for the department’s Student Life Committee (SLC). Electrical Engineering is one of the largest graduate departments in the School of Engineering at Stanford, with more than 60 faculty and more than 800 undergraduate, masters, and doctoral students. The department is consistently ranked in the top group of all electrical engineering departments in the nation. Pay Range:The expected pay range for this position is $22.88 to $36.54 per hour.
