Student Design Project Awards
This award is given to the outstanding design project in one of the capstone design courses – a hallmark of our undergraduate program. Capstone courses bring together many aspects of the curriculum and also give the students a chance to innovate in creative new ways.
Congratulations to our 2022 awardees:
John Kustin, EE272B. His project was "A Open-Source Bandgap Voltage Reference Circuit in SkyWater 130 nm Technology” and Ryan Wixen, EE264W. His project was "Tree-Structured Quadrature Mirror Filterbank."

The School of Engineering's Centennial TA Award is given to students to recognize their outstanding contributions to teaching. The 2022 Centennial Teaching Assistant Award goes to Elizabeth Chen and Tara Yasmin Mina, in recognition of their outstanding service and dedication in providing excellent classroom instruction. Justice, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Graduation Award
The School of Engineering's Justice, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (JEDI) Graduation Award recognizes the exceptional work done by graduating graduate students in outreach and mentorship for underserved and underrepresented communities with the goal of improving the accessibility of STEMM. This includes the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, and Medicine. Winners of this award have demonstrated a commitment to justice, equity, diversity & inclusion work and have positively impacted the communities they served.

The 2022 winners of the Chair’s Award for Outstanding Contributions to Undergraduate Education is Joseph Little, John DeSilva and Thomas Carlson.
As EE’s IT Systems & Network Support staff, Joe, John and Thomas provide support to our undergraduates in numerous ways. They also support every single one of our graduate students, faculty, and staff from the beginning to the end of their Stanford EE journey.

Bachelor’s Degree with Distinction
In recognition of high scholastic attainment, the University awards the Bachelor’s Degree with Distinction. Distinction is awarded to the top 15% of the graduating class based on cumulative grade point averages calculated at the end of Winter Quarter.
